Suffering Victims of rape

Rape victims suffer not only once but can be multiple times. From the various cases of rape, it turns out the percentage of those who received post-rape care in number only slightly. Only a few have received treatment to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases are not contagious.
According to research School of Public Health Johns Hopkins Bloomberg, nearly half of all women who have experienced sexual violence in the U.S. each year do not receive adequate medical treatment to prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease.
It is said that 42% of victims of sexual acts do not get a sexually transmitted disease testing (STDs) and do not receive preventive treatment for pregnant women. Only 20% of rape victims who receive emergency contraception to prevent pregnancy.
The study, published in the journal Annals of Emergency Medicine, analyzing the emergency room data from the National Hospital Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, who had conducted a survey in 1992 to 1998.
The victims of sexual assault over 18 years of age only 49% who get sexually transmitted disease testing. While the victim is under 18 years only 23%.
This research is based on more than 92 thousand cases of sexual assault. Racial problem seems to be one reason in terms of treatment of rape cases. As many as 48% of white women did not receive screening or treatment, compared to 24% of black women. However, there is no explanation why these differences occur.
